A WordPress website allows Zoo to tame its wild website updates

Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo in Thurmont, MD last updated their website design in 2007.  In internet years, that seemed like a lifetime ago. They need to be able to quickly add new information when baby animals are born, shows schedules change or special admission days are announced.

Digital Bard developed a brand new WordPress based site for them, customizing the plug-ins and widgets they need to continue basic updates themselves.  Our team created a customized how-to manual that outlined the most common updates the zoo would want to make themselves and met with the staff to train them.

Now, the zoo staff can quickly add updates to their WordPress website about the latest news, births,  special events and contest winners. The solution didn’t cost more to build than a traditional html website and saves them webmaster fees month after month.
